Can I really get a free email address without a phone number?
Yes. Press "Create my email" on the home page and you get a working address straight away. We never ask for a phone number, a name or any other personal details.
Do I need to sign up or create a password?
No. There is no account, no sign-up form and no password. The address itself is how you open your inbox.
How long does my email address last?
It does not expire. Addresses are created once and kept, and messages are stored rather than deleted on a timer. You can come back months later, paste the address into "Open my inbox" and read everything, including mail that arrived while you were away.
How do I open my inbox again later?
Go to the home page, paste the full address into "Open my inbox" and press the button. Save the address somewhere safe, because without it we cannot tell which inbox is yours.
Is my inbox private?
Your inbox has no password, so anyone who knows the exact address can open it. Treat the address like a password, share it only with sites you want mail from, and do not use it for anything sensitive such as banking, medical or work accounts. Our support staff can also open inboxes when they need to help with a problem.
Can I send or reply to emails?
No. temp-mail.zone receives mail only. You can read everything that arrives, but you cannot send, reply or forward from the address.
Where do I find my verification code?
When a message contains a one-time code, we show it at the top of your inbox in a highlighted panel, with the sender, the time and a Copy button. You do not need to open the email.
Will every website accept my address?
Most websites accept our addresses, but no email service is accepted everywhere. If a site refuses one, create a new address (it may be on a different domain) or use another email for that site.
Can I choose my own address?
Not at the moment. Addresses are picked for you from a first-name and last-name pattern, so they look like a normal person’s email. If you do not like one, press "New address".
Are attachments supported?
Yes. You can download attachments from any message, within size limits. File types that are commonly used to spread malware, such as programs and scripts, are blocked.
Is temp-mail.zone free?
Yes. There is no paid plan and nothing to buy.
Can I delete my inbox?
There is no delete button, because inboxes are meant to stay put. If you want an address and its messages removed, email us from the contact address on the About page and include the address.
