How temp-mail.zone works

temp-mail.zone gives you a working email address in one click, with no signup, no password and no phone number. This guide walks through creating an address, using it, finding verification codes, and getting back into your inbox later.

1. Create your address

On the home page, press Create my email. A new address appears in the box straight away, for example claire.porter@brookmail.net. Addresses follow a first-name and last-name pattern on one of our mail domains, so they look like an ordinary person's email.

Next to the address are two buttons:

Copy puts the address on your clipboard, ready to paste into a form.
New address creates a different one if you would rather not use the first. The first address is not lost. It still exists, and you can open it later if you wrote it down.

Below the address is a short note: Save this address — you can open this inbox again later. This matters. There is no account and no password, so the address itself is how you get back in. Put it somewhere safe, such as your password manager, a note on your phone or a bookmark.

2. Use it anywhere an email is asked for

Paste the address into the sign-up form, checkout, newsletter box or download page you are filling in. You do not need to keep our page open while you do. Mail waits in the inbox until you come back.

If you do keep the page open, you will see mail arrive by itself. The inbox shows Waiting for new mail… until the first message lands, then lists each message with the sender, the time it arrived and a preview of the subject.

3. Find your verification code

Many sites send a short code to confirm your address. When a message contains one, temp-mail.zone shows it at the top of the inbox in a highlighted panel:

Press Copy next to the code and paste it into the site that asked for it. You do not need to open the email at all, although you can if you want to read the rest.

4. Read a message

Click any message in the list to open it. You will see the full email: formatting, links and attachments. A few things happen automatically to keep you safe:

Scripts are removed before the message is shown.
Remote images are blocked at first, because they are often used to track when an email is opened. Press Show images if you want to see them.
Links open through a warning page that shows you the real destination before you leave.
Attachments can be downloaded, except file types that are commonly used to spread malware. Those are blocked.

5. Come back later

This is where temp-mail.zone differs from throwaway inbox sites. Your address is kept, and so are your messages.

To get back in, go to the home page, paste the full address into Open my inbox and press the button. You will see every message the address has ever received, newest first. If there are a lot, press Show older messages at the bottom of the list. New mail still appears live while the inbox is open.

On the same device, the box may already be filled in with the last address you used, which saves a step.

6. Keep your inbox to yourself

Because there is no password, anyone who knows the exact address can open the inbox. That is the trade-off for having no account. A few habits keep it safe:

Share the address only with sites you want mail from.
Do not post it publicly or send it to people you do not trust.
Do not use it for banking, government, medical or work accounts, or for anything you would hate to lose control of. For those, use a personal email account with a strong password and two-factor authentication.

Common questions

Can I send email from my address? No. The service receives mail only. You can read everything that arrives, but you cannot send, reply or forward.

Will every website accept my address? Most will, but no email service is accepted everywhere. If a site rejects the address, create a new one (it may be on a different domain) and try again.

Does it cost anything? No. There is no paid plan and no sign-up.

A few tips

One address per purpose makes it easy to see who is emailing you and to stop using an address that starts getting unwanted mail.
Keep a list of which address you used where. A password manager's notes field works well.
Open the inbox before you need it. If a site says it sent a code, the inbox is ready and waiting, and the code usually appears within seconds.
