A free email address without a phone number
Most free email providers now ask for a mobile number before they let you in. Sometimes it is to "verify you are human", sometimes to "keep your account secure", and sometimes no reason is given at all.
If you just need an inbox for a sign-up, a newsletter, a free trial or a one-off purchase, handing over your phone number feels like far too much.

Why email providers ask for your phone number
Phone verification exists mostly to slow down people who create accounts in bulk. A phone number is harder to come by than an email address, so asking for one raises the cost of abuse.
For the provider that is sensible. For you, it means your number ends up tied to yet another account, where it can be used for marketing, matched against other data, or exposed if that company is breached.
It also shuts people out. Not everyone has a mobile number they are happy to share. Some share a phone with family, some travel and swap SIM cards, and some simply do not want a new account knowing how to reach them.
An email address should not need any of that. We never ask for a number because we never need one: the service only receives mail, so there is no sending to abuse.
Your address is yours to keep
The address does not run out after ten minutes, and your messages are not wiped overnight. Addresses are created once and kept; messages are stored, not deleted on a timer.

This is the main difference from throwaway inbox sites. Those are fine for a code you need right now.

Good to know before you start
We would rather you know the trade-offs up front:
- The address is the key. There is no password, which is what makes the service so quick to use. It also means anyone who knows your exact address can open the inbox, so treat the address like a password. What this site stores explains exactly who can read your mail.
- Use it for everyday sign-ups, not for anything sensitive. Do not use it for online banking, government services, medical portals, your work account or anything you would hate to lose control of.
- For those, use a personal email account protected by a password and two-factor authentication.
- It receives mail; it does not send it. You can read everything that arrives, but you cannot send, reply or forward from the address — here is why sending is impossible.

Free email with no signup, explained
"No signup" means there is no form on our side at all: no name, no date of birth, no recovery email and no phone number. The only thing that connects you to your inbox is the address itself.
